Indica distillate is one of the many staple products that I use as part of my self medication journey. One way that this type of product makes my life better is by helping me manage the back pain I experience, such as soreness and neurological pain (which feels like stabbing). To put my pain in perspective, I was in a car accident that ended with me having fractured Cervical (neck) and Thoracic (middle back) vertebrae. These injuries required a spinal surgery that included twelve screws and two titanium poles to stabilize my broken spine. The medications I was administered were pretty hearty, a 10mg oxycodone every four (4) hours, a 5mg Valium every (8) hours, and a 10mg Morphine every ten (12) hours.
After only being three months out of surgery, I had to stop all of the meds completely and change my routine. I was already a recreational M.J. user, but hadn't used during the beginning of my recovery due to massive incisions that existed on my back. Invasive thoughts kept inflating my mind. What product could be used as a substitute for all of these hardcore pharmaceuticals? How was I going to afford the product, even if I did find an alternative? Would a doctor based in small town Colorado, which doesn't even allow medical cannabis dispensaries (at the time) to reside in the town, listen to a young adult about how beneficial a plant that has a gang of negative and malicious propaganda attached to the name? Before I could even talk to a doctor, a friend who I sought out to ask about their experience with a certified M.J. M.D suggested I try out a marijuana concentrate pen, and that's where Willie's Reserve comes into play.
Willie's Reserve Brand (CO) has a line of products dedicated to M.J. distillate in 1:1, Sativa, Hybrid, and Indica types of concentrate oil. Not only does this brand utilize multiple grow operations around Colorado, they have a plethora of strains in rotation. Knowing that Indica strains are geared towards body pain relief (anti inflammation properties), I generally choose those options. This brand can be found at almost every dispensary in Colorado, and has flower options all the same if that's more your style. I love the distillate oil because I can take a small dose of an extra potent substance, and receive the benefits within moments of administration. The oil isn't necessarily the "tastiest" (no terpene count known) or isn't the "cleanest" form of extraction (Co2), but this particular extraction works the best for me and my type of pain through the high THC mg percentage. The price isn't bad either, retailing at about $35 + tax at most recreational dispensaries. Another positive point that I brought up would be that this product is found in recreational dispensaries, meaning it's available to the adult population over the age of 21 year old. This method isn't meant for everyone, but for someone with similar ailments, I hope this information through my experience helps. If this doesn't work, there are many other products to try.
